A grass fire that shut down Anthony Henday Drive on Tuesday was caused by human activity, officials say.
On Thursday, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services confirmed human activity in the treed area near 186 Street and 104 Avenue caused the blaze, although the ignition source will remain unknown.
On Tuesday, the fire spread to Anthony Henday Drive and 111 Avenue, prompting an evacuation of several businesses in the area.
Northbound Anthony Henday Drive was closed from Stony Plain Road to Yellowhead Highway during the evening commute.
