The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is warning the public and seeking assistance to identify a male suspect in connection with a sexual assault series in south Edmonton.
The EPS Sexual Assault Section is currently investigating two sexual assaults that occurred on April 22, and one sexual assault that occurred on April 27 in the Charlesworth neighbourhood.
An unidentified suspect has been targeting women walking alone along foot paths according to police.
The suspect is described as a 20 to 40-year-old South Asian male between 5’9” and 6’ tall, with a slim build and facial hair.
He has been seen wearing a bright pink turban and a dark plaid outer jacket, and was most recently observed wearing gym pants with a white stripe.
EPS is issuing this warning in the interest of public safety. The three incidents are being actively investigated and are believed to be connected.
Police are asking area residents to take extra precautions when using walking paths at this time.
Charlesworth and area residents are also asked to report suspicious activity or individuals matching the suspect’s description.
