
Fort Saskatchewan residents are coming together to honour and remember on May 5, as the Community Compassion Walk will take place at the West River’s Edge Pavilion. The event aims to raise awareness, foster healing, and support families affected by this national tragedy.
Cynthia Walker, Founder of the Indigenous Regeneration Association of Alberta, spoke with 89.3 The Raven about what attendees can expect from the walk, highlighting messages from Aboriginal Alert founder Dan Martel, who will share insights into their initiatives and promote the Aboriginal Alert website.

Walker announced that the River Cree Singers will lead the first km of the walk, guiding participants with traditional hand drums. Aboriginal Alert will also be present, hosting an information booth to share details about their services and directing attendees to visit their website for more resources.
