
On three separate occasions, Strathcona County RCMP were called to investigate fires in Sherwood Park in a period of one week.
The first was on March 21 when Strathcona County RCMP responded to a report of a shopping cart full of contents on fire in the parking lot at 198 Ordze Ave. in Sherwood Park.
Officers attended the area and made patrols but no suspects were located.
Then on March 25, Strathcona County RCMP responded to a report of a fire in a dumpster at 2020 Sherwood Drive in Sherwood Park.
Officers attended the area and made patrols but again no suspects were located.
On March 28, 2025 at approximately 5:09 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP responded to a report of a fire on a bus bench at 15 Main Boulevard.
Officers attended the area and located and arrested a suspect.
As a result of the investigations, Nelsena Lee Badarm, 50, was charged with three counts of arson.
RCMP said Badarm was released for court, however failed to appear and currently has a warrant for their arrest.
Strathcona County RCMP are asking for public assistance in location Badarm.
Badarm is described as:
- Medium complexion
- 5 ft 4” tall
- 141 lbs
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
