A major addition to Spruce Grove’s recreational landscape is set to open its doors on May 10. The Heavy Metal Place, a brand-new multiplex arena, will officially launch with a grand opening. The facility is designed to host everything from sporting events and concerts to trade shows and community gatherings. It will also provide a library and be the new home of the Spruce Grove Saints.
David Wolanski, General Manager of Community and Protective Services for the City of Spruce Grove, spoke with 89.3 The Raven about the excitement surrounding a new amenity that promises to bring significant benefits to the community.

Wolanski highlighted the wide range of services that Heavy Metal Place will offer, including ice rinks, a library, an art gallery, and a small arts studio for music and arts performances.

Wolanski added that the new facility will provide greater exposure to visual arts, cultural activities, and sporting events, while also enabling the community to host larger-scale events that will help put Spruce Grove on the map.
