Two vehicle collision near Morinville results in death of Edmonton resident

On Apr. 21, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Morinville RCMP responded to a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 28, in the area of Highway 642. 

A northbound truck entered the oncoming lane and collided with a southbound semi-truck.

Highway 28 was closed in both directions while emergency personnel responded and the scene was investigated.

The lone occupant of the pick-up truck, a 44-year-old resident of Edmonton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
