Renderings of the new infrastructure planned in Enoch Cree Nation
Enoch Cree Nation, in partnership with Canada Infrastructure Bank, announced a $100-million investment to support critical infrastructure on the Nation’s reserve.
The investment will facilitate the construction of an elder’s facility, cultural centre and a medical centre.
Also being built are water and wastewater mains, new roads and underground utilities at a 256-acre mixed-use development.
Enoch Cree Nation Chief Cody Thomas said the project is important on so many levels.

The project will create up to 800 direct and indirect jobs while addressing infrastructure gaps and foster long-term economic sustainability with an estimation of over $1 billion in future commercial and residential development for the 2800 members of Enoch.
Chief Thomas added this project will be passed onto the youth and future generations.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2027.
