University of Alberta Prepares for Indigenous Celebration Week

The University of Alberta is gearing up for this year’s Indigenous Celebration Week for January 28-31 with a theme that celebrates Indigenous futures, along with culture, dancers, an artisan market, and a performance by Tia Wood.

Ella Thompson, lead of Indigenous Reconciliation at the University of Alberta Students Union spoke with 89.3 The Raven on organizing the event and highlights this year’s theme.

University of Alberta students, staff and community members can expect a variety of things to participate in, from workshops to a pipe ceremony, artisan market and more.
