The third annual Pumpkin Drop for Muscular Dystrophy takes place in Strathcona County at Fire Station Six. This event is part of the Emergency Services’ fundraising those affected by Muscular Dystrophy.
Kelly Lehr, Deputy Chief of Operations Support for Strathcona County Emergency Services spoke with 89.3 The Raven on what attendees can expect from getting a selfie with sparky and getting to know the new members of the fire crew.
Lehr adds that theirs a ton of pride when emergency service members get involved with community when bringing awareness towards Muscular Dystrophy.
Lehr speaks on the fundraiser that started for many fire halls 65 years ago, with a sole focus on helping families that have children dealing with Muscular Dystrophy at a young age.
