Edmonton Police are currently investigating a serious collision in the intersection of 105 Street and 80 Avenue.
As a result, 80 Avenue has been closed between 104 and 106 Streets, and 105 Street has been closed between 79 and 81 Avenues.
Motorists have been asked to take alternate routes.
EPS has also advised motorists that 107 Avenue has been closed between 102 and 104 Streets. Police are currently investigating a collision in that intersection of 107 Avenue and 103 Street.
As per an EPS email, a 17-year-old female pedestrian was southbound in the east crosswalk on 103 Street at 107 Avenue.
At the same time, an eastbound Hyundai Santa Fe operated by 41-year-old male struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. there were no injuries to the vehicle driver.
MCIS assumed the investigation. Neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in this collision.
As of 11:43 A.M. , Thursday morning, both roads were opened to motorists. No information on criminal charges were given.
