The Edmonton Transit System is in the final stages of implementing its ARC system which will move them along to the next step in the phasing out of traditional paper fare products.
Starting November 9, the following ETS fare products will no longer be available for purchase through the Edmonton Service Centre, recreation centres, the ETS online fare store, phone sales or retail outlets:
10-ticket packs (Adult and Youth/Senior), Family/Day passes and Monthly paper transit passes (Adult, Youth/Student, Senior, Ride Transit and Edmonton International Airport) will no longer be available.
Pre-purchased tickets with an expiry date of December 31, 2023, and Family/Day passes with an expiration date of 2024 will continue to be accepted as valid fare on ETS until the end of 2025.
ETS will continue to accept cash fare and paper transfers as valid fare on an ongoing basis.
The November 2024 monthly transit pass will be the last ETS paper monthly pass sold to riders. Riders who purchase ETS monthly passes must switch to Arc starting December 1.
Arc, the regional electronic payment system, will replace the outgoing Edmonton transit fare products.
For ETS riders who have not yet made the transition to Arc, learn more about Arc by visiting myArc.ca, calling the Arc call centre at 1-888-302-0001, or visiting an in-person service centre or a participating Arc retailer.
