Edmonton Firefighters combatted blazes at four separate houses in northeast Edmonton on Thursday night, including one that was occupied. Thick plumes of smoke could be seen from Anthony Henday traffic.
Fire crews arrived on scene in the Fraser neighborhood, south of 153 Avenue and Fraser Vista N.W. at 7:36 p.m., just five minutes after the call came in according to an EFRS spokesperson email.
The fire initiated at a home that was under construction and then spread to neighboring homes as per Edmonton Fire Rescue Services.
At 7:41. a second crew was called to scene and by 9 p.m. there were a total of 13 units on scene.
The blaze was considered under control by 11 p.m. but not completely extinguished until 10 a.m. Friday morning.
