The Edmonton Police service held a news conference this morning related to the disappearance of 23-year-old Nicole Frenchman back in 2021, in hopes of generating any new information related to the case.
Although no remains were ever found, Frenchman’s disappearance is still being investigated as a homicide.
EPS Homicide detectives have since determined that on July 10, 2021, at approximately 5 a.m., Nicole and another female were dropped off by a taxi on 82 Avenue between 97 and 99 Streets.
“Despite the fact three years have passed, we believe there are still individuals out there with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Nicole’s disappearance and presumed death,” stated Det. Bryan Macauley, of the EPS Homicide Section.
Nicole’s family has remained vigilant over the past three years, hopeful that someone will come forward to police with information that will ease their pain regarding the disappearance of their beloved Nicole.
“We’re hopeful that anyone who may have information pertaining to Nicole’s disappearance might feel more comfortable now reaching out to police, with some separation from when the incident initially occurred in 2021. Sometimes things change over time for a variety of reasons, and people may feel less worried about coming forward to police.”
Frenchman is described as 5’4” tall, approximately 130 lbs with long black hair and brown eyes. She also has several noticeable tattoos, including a blue tattoo of a woman wearing a crown on her upper right chest, a dreamcatcher on her right forearm and a flower and a dollar sign on her right hand.
Anyone with information regarding Frenchman’s disappearance is asked to contact the EPS immediately at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
