The Nunavut Day Celebrations will be celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary on July 7th at Rundle Park from 4-8 PM, that will feature entertainment and the Inuit Culture on display for families to enjoy.
Goota Desmarais, business owner of Inuit Connections speaks on her excitement on the upcoming celebrations, with Edmonton having the second largest urban Inuit population outside of Nunavut, is the perfect place to be celebrating Nunavut Days within the city.
Desmarais says that their will be a variety of Inuit food to try such as Seal and Arctic Char, along with Inuit Games and entertainment and throat singing.
Desmarais is hopeful that the urban Inuit community can connect with one another, and for the children to learn about their culture and traditions through food, games and celebration.
