A Red Deer mall was locked down while police responded to reports that two people were displaying a handgun.
On Friday evening, Red Deer RCMP received calls stating two individuals were displaying a handgun at Bower Place shopping centre.
The mall was locked down, with patrons taking shelter in various stores.
Two youths were arrested without incident after a search revealed a knife with a handle resembling a handgun.
There was no mention of any charges, however RCMP did say they “may release more information if it becomes available”.
