A 47-year-old Fort McMurray woman is dead following a serious motor vehicle accident.
On Saturday morning, RCMP along with EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 63 near the Saline Creek Parkway, where a sedan and water truck were involved in the collision.
EMS tended to the driver, but she later died from her injuries. The driver and lone occupant of the water truck sustained minor injuries.
The highway was partially closed for several hours as Wood Buffalo RCMP conducted their investigation.
The victims name has not been released.
