Edmonton Police Service detectives have released a series of surveillance videos of suspects in the extortion series known as Project Gaslight.
The EPS team, which is comprised of approximately 10 investigators and 2 analysts are investigating 34 events in total, related to an ongoing extortion series that has affected the South Asian community in the Edmonton region since October.
On Nov. 6, 2023, in the area of 16 Avenue and 12 Street, three suspects were seen getting out of a vehicle with a gas can, and later running back to the same vehicle. Police are looking for information on the identities of the three suspects in the video and any information on their activities on Nov. 6, 2024.
