The 2024 Central Alberta Spring Job Fair is returning to Red Deer in the Pidherney Centre on April 10th for job seekers looking for employment and to connect with local employers.
CFWE spoke with Ashton Selig, marketing specialist and employer liaison at the Careers Assistance Network as she speaks on the career fair being around for two-decades and having over 650 job seekers looking for work within the Red Deer area for both the Spring and Fall sessions.
Selig speaks on the high school graduates and many other community members that attended the previous job fairs got hired on the spot or connecting with employers and walking out confident after the meetings on site.
Selig adds that it’s all about making connections with the employers that are hiring, along with the job seekers feeling supported and to have a positive impact on those seeking a career with opportunities they may have not had before meeting employers.
