The Chief Aranazhi School in Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation hosted their annual Traditional Pow Wow over the weekend, where many students, staff and families gathered together.
Jasmine Alexis, powwow organizer spoke with CFWE, and said the event brings a lot of good energy in the community.

Alexis adds that the theme chosen for the Pow Wow is “Dagucayami Bare Ocazhumi” which means bringing Relatives Together, and for the children to showcase what they believe in.

Alexis says that with the help of a teacher, many students helped create their own regalia for the powwow.
