An early morning fire that involved an R.V has left at least one person in the city homeless.
During the morning commute this morning, traffic was blocked off while Firefighter battled the blaze in Edmonton’s downtown.
An R.V that was parked near 107 Avenue and 111 Street caught fire after a man that was living within the R.V was cooking breakfast. The dispatched time was 7:59 A.M. and crews arrived by 8:04 A.M., just five minutes later. The fire was deemed out by 8:57 according to EFRS officials.
According to Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, the man went to light the stove and it blew up.
The explosion happened near the man’s face, although no injuries were reported.
No exact cause of what set off the explosion.
